A VISIT TO PEACOCK PRAIRIE

Some of you who have heard about this rare virgin prairie just across the border in the ‘Prairie State’ asked about a guided tour. I am organizing a field trip. Send your registration to me before April 12 if you are interested, and share my invitation with other members of your group or like-minded souls for an enjoyable experience.

ITINERARY
(Car pools will receive maps and directions)
8:00 a.m….Leave from here for the field trip (rendezvous location to be announced)
10.00 a.m..Field Trip by Dr. Nyberg at Peacock (Woodworth) Prairie in Glenview, IL
11:00 a.m..Lunch at the prairie (bring a brown-bag, water will be provided)
11:30 a.m..Guided tour of The Grove, a nearby natural area
1:00 p.m…Visit to the Field Station Prairie and interpretation center
2:00 p.m…Refreshments will be provided. Leave for Wisconsin
